Those who want to reach the final goal would have to swim in a beautiful cove, run through the Mayan jungle and ride high-speed through the beautiful landscapes of the Riviera Maya. These are the challenges you must overcome in the shortest possible time if you want to be part of the Xel-Há Triathlon, which every year takes place in the majestic natural park of Xel-Há.
The Triathlon has become a sport that increasingly has more followers in the country and that has shown tremendous growth in recent years. Since 2009, Xel-Há has been the venue of this event supported by the Mexican Triathlon Federation. The competition takes place during the month of November in the facilities of the Park and includes categories for all ages. The categories in which competition is divided are: sprint, children, and women beginners.
An important part of the event is the care for the environment; therefore it has been called Green Triathlon. It makes emphasis on the use of biodegradable sunscreen and the recycling of plastic items used by competitors and spectators. In addition, the registration fee will be entirely donated to the Sea Turtle Conservation Program, led by Flora, Fauna and Culture of Mexico, A.C.
Don’t let pass this great experience, either as athlete or spectator.
